The Maine State Aquarium offers an immersive exploration of the Gulf of Maine’s marine ecosystem. Visitors can engage with interactive exhibits, including touch tanks featuring sea stars, urchins, and moon snails, and observe a variety of native species such as lobsters, sharks, and skates. The aquarium also showcases rare lobster colorations and a suspended 26-foot minke whale skeleton. Educational programs and the adjacent Learning Lab provide insights into marine research and conservation efforts.
