The Ecology School

The Ecology School offers the Summer Ecology Adventure Camp, a week-long overnight sleep-away experience at its 313-acre River Bend Farm campus in Saco, Maine. Designed for rising 5th through 9th graders (approximately ages 10–15), this immersive program blends outdoor adventure with ecology education, giving campers hands-on experiences in forests, fields, and rivers while building confidence and fostering connection to nature. Daily activities include canoeing, hiking, nature exploration, art projects, and campfire gatherings under the stars, all led by experienced ecology educators. Each week has a unique theme and encourages curiosity, teamwork, and environmental stewardship in a supportive, outdoor community.
